The National Law University, Tripura:
National Law University, Tripura (NLU Tripura), is a prestigious institution established by an Act of 2022, passed by the Tripura State Legislation with the objective of advancing legal education, research, and advocacy in India. Situated in the northeastern state of Tripura, NLU Tripura aims to serve as a center of excellence in legal studies, fostering a deep understanding of law in its theoretical and practical dimensions. The university is dedicated to producing competent legal professionals, scholars, and policymakers who can contribute to the development of law and justice in India and beyond. The objectives of NLU Tripura, inter alia, as per Section 4 of the National Law University Act, 2022 are:
• To strengthen, promote and propagate the basis and ideals of a polity established
and governed by law
• To advance and disseminate learning and knowledge of law, legal procedures and
processes and law’s role in national development
• To develop in the students and research scholars, a sense of responsibility to serve
society by developing skills in advocacy, judicial, other legal services, legislation,
judicial reforms and the like.
• To do all such things as are connected with or incidental to the attainment of all
or any of the objects of the University.
The Centre for Environment Law and Climate Change (CELCC):
The Centre for Environment, Law, and Climate Change (CELCC) at National Law University, Tripura, stands as a pioneering initiative dedicated to tackling the urgent and complex challenges posed by environmental degradation and climate change, especially in the North-Eastern region. The Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CIPS):
The Centre for Intellectual Property Studies (CIPS) at National Law University Tripura stands as a vibrant hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in Intellectual Property (IP) law. The University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata (IEM-UEM):
The University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata, established in 2014 under the West Bengal Act 25 of 2014 and located in New Town near the airport, is anationally recognized institution known for academic excellence, innovation and strong industry integration. The Department of Business Administration (BBA):
